Perched on the corner of 8th Avenue and West 49th Street, Kimpton Hotel Theta is within easy right of all of Manhattan's transportation hubs: Port Authority Bus Terminal and Penn Station to the south and Grand Central Terminal to the east. Most of the city's major subway lines converge around here, as well, including the A and E trains, which connect to Kennedy Airport. The hotel is a few blocks from the West Side Highway, which runs down the western edge of Manhattan, loops around the southern tip, and eventually becomes the FDR Drive on the East Side; there are bridges and tunnels into Brooklyn and Queens from there.
